Archbold provides a array of different teaching facilities for in and outside of the classroom. For direct lessons and discussion- our classroom comfortably seats 25. To enhance lessons we have a database of past projects, property history, natural history of Dominica, preserved flora & fauna of Dominica, and a developing insect collection. For interactive lessons our surrounding property has much to offer with accessible trails, riparian habitat, water systems, cultivated lands, historical sites, and neighboring villages.
The field laboratory provides students with undisturbed workspace with lots of storage and adequate lighting.
The lab is equipped with basic field research items. This includes but is not limited to microscopes, dissecting scopes, a drying oven, various nets, fish tanks and related equipment, glass and plastic ware along with plant collecting and mounting supplies.
The classroom is open to residents 24 hrs/day. The room is equipped with both 220v and 110v electrical outlets, a projector, viewing screens, blackboard, and high speed wifi. The room seats 30 -35 people comfortably for lectures and workshops.

We are proud of the work we've done to maintain and develop our herbarium and our insect collection. Those interested in viewing the collections are asked to make an appointment.
